அடுத்தவங்க பாக்கெட்ல என்ன இருக்குங்கறதை 'படக்'குன்னு சொல்லிடுற மோடி மஸ்தான் கூட விஜயோட 50 வது படத்தோட இயக்குனர் யாருன்னு கேட்டா, பேந்த பேந்த முழிப்பான். சித்திக்குலே ஆரம்பிச்சு, ஜெயம் ராஜா வரைக்கும் நீள்கிற இந்த இயக்குனர்கள் லிஸ்ட், இப்போ ஒரு வழியா ஃபைனல் ஆயிருச்சு என்பதுதான் நம்ம காதுக்கு வந்த செய்தி.

பிரசன்னா, சினேகா நடித்து அமெரிக்காவிலேயே தயாரான படம் அச்சமுண்டு அச்சமுண்டு. என்ன அச்சமோ, தமிழகத்தில் இன்னும் படத்தை ரிலீஸ் செய்யவில்லை. ஆனால், பல்வேறு திரைப்பட விழாக்களுக்கு ஃபிரஷ் ஆக அனுப்பப்படுகிறது இப்படம்.

லேட்டஸ்டாக ஷாங்காயில் நடக்கும் 12 வது திரைப்பட விழாவில் இப்படத்தை திரையிட தேர்வு செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். எழுபது நாடுகளில் இருந்து ஆயிரக்கணக்கான படங்கள் போட்டியிட்டாலும், தேர்வு செய்யப்படும் படங்களோ வெறும் எழுபது மட்டுமே! அதில் ஒன்று இந்த படம்! ஏற்கனவே 'கார்டன் ஸ்டேட்' திரைப்பட விருது விழாவில் 'ஹோம் குரோன்' விருது வாங்கியிருக்கிறதாம் இந்த படம். இப்போது மேலும் ஒரு கௌரவம்.

அருண் வைத்தியநாதன் இயக்கியிருக்கிறார். அதுமட்டுமல்ல, படத்தின் தயாரிப்பாளர்களில் இவரும் ஒருவர். 'தினமும் முப்பதாயிரம் பேர் பார்வையிடும் இத்திரைப்பட விழா மிக முக்கியமான திரைப்பட விழாவாகும். ஸ்லம் டாக் மில்லியனர் படத்தின் இயக்குனர் டேனி பாய்ல் நீதிபதியாக இருந்து படங்களை தேர்வு செய்ய முன் வந்திருக்கிறார். அதுவே எங்களுக்கு பெரிய மகிழ்ச்சி' என்றார் அருண் வைத்தியநாதன்.

பேசி பேசி போரடிச்சுருச்சு... விஷால் அலுப்பு

தோரணை ரிலீசுக்கு இன்னும் ஒரு வாரமே இருக்கக்கூடிய நிலையில் பத்திரிகையாளர்களை சந்தித்தார் விஷால். கூடவே வந்திருந்தார் படத்தின் இயக்குனர் சபா ஐயப்பன்! படப்பிடிப்பில் விஷாலிடம் அடி வாங்கியதாக வந்த செய்திகளை மறுத்த ஐயப்பன், 'எங்க ஹீரோவுக்கு வில்லனை அடிக்கவே நேரமில்லை. இதிலே என்னை அடிக்க அவருக்கு எது நேரம்? அதெல்லாம் பொய்யுங்க' என்றார் கவலையோடு!

கிராமத்திலிருந்து அண்ணனை தேடி சென்னைக்கு வரும் ஒருவனின் கதைதான் தோரணை. முதல் பாதி முழுக்க குலுங்க வைக்கும் காமெடி. இரண்டாவது பாதி அதிர வைக்கும் ஆக்ஷன். நான் ஆக்ஷன் ஹீரோவாக ஆகணும்னு நினைச்சு வரலே. லிங்குசாமியோட சண்டக்கோழி கதைய பற்றி கேள்விப்பட்டதும், நானே அவரை தேடிப் போய் வாய்ப்பு கேட்டேன். அந்த படத்திலே இருந்து எனக்கு ஆக்ஷன் ஹீரோ இமேஜ் வந்திருச்சு. காமெடி படங்களில் நடிக்கணும் என்பதுதான் என்னோட ஆசை. ஏற்கனவே மலைக்கோட்டையிலே 'ட்ரை' பண்ணியிருந்தேன். கவுண்டமணிதான் என்னோட ஃபேவரைட். நான் காமெடியிலே ஒருவேளை வெற்றியடைஞ்சா அந்த வெற்றியை அவருக்குதான் அர்ப்பணிக்கிறேன் என்றார் விஷால்.

த்ரிஷா, நயன்தாராவுடன் காதல் பற்றிய வழக்கமான கேள்விகளுக்கு, 'பேசி பேசி எனக்கே போரடிச்சுருச்சு. விட்ருங்க சார்' என்றார் பரிதாபமாக. அடுத்து பூபதி பாண்டியன் இயக்கத்தில் ஒரு படத்தில் நடிக்கப் போகிறாராம்.

Tamannah signed for Vijay’s 50th film

Milky white beauty Tamannah Bhatia has been roped into the 50th film of Vijay which will be produced by Sangli Murugan. This movie is said to be a closely guarded movie as the details of this movie are kept as a secret for the sake of some suspense element. 

Kanthasamy in Tamil

Mallanna (Kanthasamy in Tamil), with Vikram & Shriya in the lead, is getting ready. Post production work in full swing and the audio will be launched on May 19.

It is a superhero film with outstanding special effects and grandeur. The photo session and the promo shows Vikram in six getups, including that of a lady, a Zulu, a Krissh-like comic-book hero, Ramana Maharshi , and with a rooster mask.

In a couple of photos, the Vikram-Shirya pair looks like business executives flanked by Africans in the backdrop of Sahara desert. The album has turned out to be a curious product in the industry.

No 'Jai Ho' in polls: A.R. Rahman

In an interview given to a leading international news channel, music maestro A.R. Rahman has expressed his unhappiness over political parties using his Oscar winning song 'Jai Ho' for poll campaigns. 

A.R. Rahman reportedly said that he felt dehydrated and exhausted when someone told him people are still using his song for poll campaigns. “I hate politics. I just want people to serve the people. I want whichever government comes to be unbiased and say there should be justice in the country; that's my purpose in life," Rahman was quoted as saying.

The Congress had bought exclusive rights to the song 'Jai Ho' for its poll campaign but later dropped it, worried by its similarity with the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) ‘India Shining campaign’ which failed to click with voters in 2004.

The composer  also explained how his accolades for Slumdog Millionaire are also recognition for India. When asked about his next project post-Oscars, A.R. Rahman said that he has already bagged a couple of new offers from Hollywood. The full version of A.R. Rahman’s interview will be aired on May 20, with repeat telecasts on May 21 and May 23.

vivekananda Biography

A spiritual genius of commanding intellect and power, Vivekananda crammed immense labor and achievement into his short life, 1863-1902. Born in the Datta family of Calcutta, the youthful Vivekananda embraced the agnostic philosophies of the Western mind along with the worship of science.

At the same time, vehement in his desire to know the truth about God, he questioned people of holy reputation, asking them if they had seen God. He found such a person in Sri Ramakrishna, who became his master, allayed his doubts, gave him God vision, and transformed him into sage and prophet with authority to teach.

After Sri Ramakrishna's death, Vivekananda renounced the world and criss-crossed India as a wandering monk. His mounting compassion for India's people drove him to seek their material help from the West. Accepting an opportunity to represent Hinduism at Chicago's Parliament of Religions in 1893, Vivekananda won instant celebrity in America and a ready forum for his spiritual teaching.

For three years he spread the Vedanta philosophy and religion in America and England and then returned to India to found the Ramakrishna Math and Mission. Exhorting his nation to spiritual greatness, he wakened India to a new national consciousness. He died July 4, 1902, after a second, much shorter sojourn in the West. His lectures and writings have been gathered into nine volumes.
